An evening of great live music from:

JEBO
www.jebomusic.co.uk

Bristol based JEBO began life just a few short years ago, founded by songwriter/guitarist Rob Allen and drummer Jeff France. The duet formed a band around them whilst Rob began working on their debut album ‘Sinking Without You’, released in 2007. Later that year and following a European tour, JEBO played support at the Loreley Festival in Germany to the likes of Jethro Tull and Asia, the band had also previously supported artists such as It Bites.

Drawing influences from bands such as The Who, Pink Floyd and Radiohead to name a few, JEBO strive to give a tip-top live performance full of energy, drive and verve; in short, they’ll tear your world apart! The combined efforts of Rob on guitar and Jeff on drums is perfectly complemented by the pounding bass of Andrew Maggs (ex Innes Sibun Band). Onstage, the soaring vocals of Kevin J Messenger are completed beautifully by Emma Whittle (Erasure) on backing vocal duties. This 5 piece are a veritable powerhouse, miss them at your peril!

In the studio the band works with ex-Island Records producer John Burns (Jethro Tull, Genesis and John Martyn) and Real Worlds Ben Findlay. They have recently supported Canadian band The Musical Box at the Colston Hall Bristol as well as London's Hammersmith Apollo.

JAMIE LAWSON

'A new song for a new year'. That was the simple unassuming remark that Jamie Lawson chose to accompany his Wasn't Expecting That video when he posted it to Youtube at the start of January. What Jamie really wasn't expecting was the incredible reaction to the song in the weeks since, particularly in Ireland, where people seem to have embraced it's simple, love story as an antidote to the turmoil that surrounds daily life.

Sitting with approximately 1000 Youtube views on the 13th of January the video exploded in popularity following airplay on a national irish radio station and now sits on circa 200,000 views and growing thanks to continued radio airplay and it's popularity on Twitter. Jamie has since performed on RTE's The Late Late Show on 28th January where he received an amazing response.

Originally planned for release on Jamie's next album later in the year, the song's popularity forced him to record it as a single for immediate release where it went straight to Number 1 on the irish iTunes chart and number 3 in the official Irish Singles Chart.
