An evening of great live music from:

MATT HERBERT
http://www.myspace.com/mattherbert

Matt Herbert is one of the best known and most talented artists on the Essex Music scene.
His combination of upbeat blues, soul & folk have earned him rave reviews from around his home of Essex and beyond, as well as an impressive following.
From a background of playing in punk bands,  Matt  turned to writing acoustic songs, and playing 12 string guitar, finding the music "a lot more honest to play and write."
After 2 years of playing with his band, the Heavy Hitters, Matt has recently taken the decision to go solo.
Watching him play guitar and observing his passion for his music on stage, you know that he was just born to perform. His lyrics are heartfelt, his tunes are catchy, and his guitar playing,  simply mesmerizing Matt is currently in the studio finishing work on his new EP

KRISTYNA MYLES
http://www.kristynamyles.com/

Kristyna Myles is an uplifting and unique performer. Described as 'soulful and distinctive' by the Manchester Evening News and compared to the likes of soul stars Joss Stone and Beth Rowley. Her lively 9-piece band reinforces her style with soulful guitar riffs, intricate motown melodies and a catchy horn section that will blow your socks off! With sets that are infectious and mesmerising, Kristyna Myles is set for great things and one not to be missed.
Since starting out busking on the streets of Manchester and winning BBC Radio 5 Live’s busker of the year competition Kristyna Myles has gone from strength to strength. Kristyna has performed her songs on BBC 1, toured across Europe and recently supported Mick Hucknall on his UK tour. Not only that but Kristyna broke into the UK album chart Top 10 when one of her songs appeared alongside tracks from Amy Winehouse and Erykah Badu on the compilation CD ‘Songbird 2008’.

ARCHIE WAH WAHS
http://www.myspace.com/archiewahwahs

When Richard J Braund left his old band 'The Blimps', he had many songs that needed to be heard, so he put a band together called 'Archie Wah Wahs' which comprised of Richard J Braund and three Midgets. Two of the Midgets realised that they could not dedicate enough time to the band, as they had other responsabilities. One had been booked for various Midget tossing competitions and the other had a job, being handcuffed to stags on their stag doos. This left Richard J Braund and Midget number three, known as Andy Martin. Richard J Braund called on two friends that he had been with in previous bands, to complete the four piece, post punk/indie band known as 'Archie Wah Wahs', with Richard J Braund as lead singer and rhythm guitar, Andy Martin as Lead Guitar and backing vocals, Jimmy Decarte on Bass and backing vocals, and Phil Ferrer on Drums. The four of them immediately set about learning Richard J Braund's songs. When they had learnt their first five songs, they enlisted two friends to record their first demo. This demo was then sent out to various local venues, asking for gigs. The first gig 'Archie Wah Wahs' got was for Sittingbourne Culture Festival. This was in the middle of a high street packed with Chavs, whom all had a "Why is this Happening?????" expression all over their Chevy Chases. From here 'Archie Wah Wahs' played several gigs, until Illness struck. When immune systems were at an all time low, Richard J Braund fell victim to a particularly nasty virus, which stopped him playing any music for eight months and thus haulting the 'Archie Wah Wahs' progress. After an almost drug free period of recovery, Richard J Braund was ready to play again and the 'Archie Wah Wahs' were back. This time they were far more determined and played many gigs in and around the Medway and South-east area, over a one year period. Making a name for themselves as, the best band in and around the Medway and South-east area. Then a certain member's lifestyle (who will remain unnamed, even though if you read back you'll easily work out who it is) got too out of hand, to the point of replacement with a new Drummer known as Quinn. Quinn slotted into the 'Archie Wah Wahs' set-up with relative ease, while the rest of the band carried on doing acoustic gigs, until he was ready. This brings us up to date. 'Archie Wah Wahs' now have Inter-Gallactic domination in their sights!!!
